Machinery Accident Reported At Packaging Plant In Geneva

CHICAGO (CBS)-- Emergency crews responded to an industrial accident at a packaging plant in Geneva, Illinois.
According to the Geneva Fire Department, a woman had been trapped in a conveyor belt assembly.
"The company's maintenance staff was successful in disassembling the machine and removing the woman prior to the arrival of the Fire Department," Genva fire officials said in a press release.
The incident took place at Power Packaging, located at 2089 Pillsbury Drive.
Fire officials said one person was transported by air ambulance to an area level 1 trauma center for further treatment. The victim's condition is not known at this time.
