(CBS) --A former star football player at Lincoln Way West High School in New Lennox is charged with the sexual assault of a student after returning to work there as a teacher's aide and volunteer coach, reports WBBM's Mike Krauser.
Jake Weiclaw is alleged to have cultivated a relationship with a 16-year-old girl at the school, communicating on social media and progressing to an illegal encounter in January 2014 at his New Lenox home.
The Will County Sheriff's Department says he is charged with two counts of criminal sexual assault with a victim between 13 and 17 and two counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse.
He was arrested yesterday and bonded out early this morning.
Weiclaw set field goal records at Lincoln Way and went on to kick for the University of Miami Hurricanes in the 2011 and 2012 seasons.
