Light Snow Could Bookend Relatively Mild Weekend

(CBS) -- Chicago could get some flurries Friday night, ahead of a warming trend for the weekend, and then next week could start with more light snow.

According to the National Weather Service, it will be cloudy most of the day on Friday, with temperatures in the low 30s.

Flurries are possible late Friday night through Saturday morning.

Temperatures on Saturday could get up to the mid 40s, before dropping into the low 20s again at night.

Sunday could see a high in the upper 40s, and there will be a slight chance of rain and snow before temperatures drop below freezing again overnight.

The National Weather Service said there is a 20 to 40 percent chance of rain and light snow Sunday night, and a 30 to 40 percent chance of light snow on Monday, when temperatures will be in the low to mid 30s.
