Levine: Sale Out For At Least 3 More Weeks

(CBS) -- White Sox ace Chris Sale won't pitch in a major-league game for at least three weeks, according to the team.
General manager Rick Hahn said on Monday that Sale won't throw a rehab start for 10 days to two weeks. Sale threw a side session at U.S Cellular Field recently and said it went well when asked about his bullpen session later in the afternoon.
The White Sox pitcher strained a flexor muscle in his left elbow on April 17 while throwing 127 pitches against Boston.
"Sale had a very good sideline today," Hahn said. "There will be a rehab assignment at some point, and we are going to stop the daily updates on Chris and how he is doing."
Sale, who has dealt with a few arm issues over the past two seasons, had never been on the disabled list until this season.
