Lawsuit: Nurse At Advocate Christ Initiated Sex With Heart Patient

CHICAGO (CBS) -- A lawsuit has been filed against Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn over the alleged sexual advances by a nurse on a heart patient.

In the lawsuit, the man claims the female nurse made sexual advances, including initiating intercourse, as the patient was preparing for a heart transplant.

The lawsuit, filed by the man and his wife, alleges the hospital was negligent in employing the nurse, who had a habit of initiating unwanted physical contact with patients.

The alleged incident occurred in October of 2012.

The nurse was later reprimanded by the state for failing to disclose that she had been terminated in a previous job for crossing professional boundaries with a patient.
