Lake Shore Drive To Be Closed To Motorists During Sunday's "Bike The Drive"
CHICAGO (STMW) -- The Office of Emergency Management and Communications is alerting drivers of closures on Lake Shore Drive scheduled for Sunday morning.
Beginning at 5 a.m., Lake Shore Drive will be cleared of vehicle traffic for several hours during the MB Financial Bank "Bike the Drive," a non-competitive bicycle ride, according to an OEMC statement. Lake Shore Drive between Hollywood Avenue and 57th Street will be exclusively open to bicycles during that time.
The roadway is scheduled to re-open to vehicles at 11 a.m. Sunday.
