Joakim Noah Out Against 76ers

(CBS) The Bulls' injury list has grown longer, if you can believe it.

Big man Joakim Noah will miss tonight's game against the 76ers because of left knee soreness. He'll join Jimmy Butler (left elbow), Taj Gibson (left ankle) and Derrick Rose (right knee) on the sidelines, meaning Chicago will be without three of its starters and four of its top players.

Noah's soreness is in the the same knee that he had arthroscopic surgery on last spring. Noah's battled a knee problem all season, but he'd been feeling better and more explosive of late and played in the team's past 21 games.

His absence in this one comes after the Bulls recently played four games in five nights.

Noah downplayed his knee soreness in talking to the Tribune's K.C. Johnson, who reported it sounds like a "scheduled sitdown" after a busy stretch. It's worth noting the 76ers are 14-49 this season and that the Bulls have tougher contests coming up.
