Joakim Noah Buys A New Place In The City
(CBS) Bulls big man Joakim Noah, the reigning NBA Defensive Player of the Year, has bought a new place in the city after previously residing in the suburbs, coinciding with the team's move into a new practice facility across from the United Center after years of using a facility in Deerfield.
The 29-year-old Noah has bought a 7,000-square-foot home in Lincoln Park for nearly $3 million, the Chicago Tribune reported. It has seven bedrooms and 5 1/2 bathrooms, according to the Chicago Sun-Times, which also reported that it has an elevator, grand center circular staircase, four fireplaces, an attached 2 1/2-car garage,a large backyard, and a rooftop deck with fireplace.
Noah's move comes as the Bulls moved into the new 60,000-square-foot Advocate Center on the Near West Side in September after years of having the Berto Center in Deerfield as the headquarters. In the past, most Bulls players haven't owned places in the city because of of the long drive to practice. Moving the practice facility to the city has certainly been appealing to the majority of the players.
