(CBS) -- The Illinois State Treasurer's online auctionof unclaimed items has just brought in more than $90,000; hardly enough to cure the state's economic ills, but the treasurer says it exceeded expectations.
Highlights of the once-a-quarter state treasurer's auction?
"We had an 1894 Morgan silver dollar that went for 4,500 dollars. There was a lot with a Liberty Eagle one-ounce gold coin that went for 2,700 dollars. And a lot with a Rookwood Pottery vase that went for more than a thousand dollars."
Greg Rivara, spokesman for State Treasurer Michael Frerichs.
Rivara says a lot that contained some baseball cards including a 1965 Ernie Banks card and a White Sox Frank Thomas signed rookie card went for $685.
The auction brought in more than $92,000. The state treasurer's office says they were only anticipating about $60,000.
