30 Chicago-Area Girls To Compete In Summer Icebox Derby

CHICAGO (CBS)-- Thirty young women from around Chicago will be challenging each other in their icebox racers, built out of old refrigerators.
The participants all want to pursue careers in STEM meaning science, technology, engineering and math.
They've used their math and science skills to build their cars.
ComEd's 2019 Icebox Derby races began Saturday at noon in Daley Plaza.
