1 Killed, 1 Wounded In Shooting In Humboldt Park Alley
CHICAGO (CBS) -- One man was killed and another was wounded in a shooting in an alley in Chicago's Humboldt Park neighborhood early Monday morning, Chicago police say.
Police said a 39-year-old man was standing in an alley in the 2500 block of West Cortez Street just before 3 a.m. when he was struck in the stomach.
The man was taken to Stroger Hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
A second man wounded in the same shooting took himself to AMITA Health Saints Mary and Elizabeth Medical Center, where he was in serious condition with a gunshot wound to the stomach and right arm.
No one is in custody. Area Three detectives are investigating.
