Storm threat in Chicago area increases through Sunday morning

CHICAGO (CBS) -- With heat and humidity building, the storm threat in the Chicago area increases through Sunday morning. Storms in the western counties on Saturday afternoon will move toward the city.

Expect damaging winds to 50 mph and flooding rains. Due to the moisture-loaded cells and the slow forward speed, storms may follow one another, or "train," creating fast pounding on roadways and low-lying areas.

Models show a second cluster of strong storms coming into the area Sunday morning. 

Extreme heat will build on Sunday and Monday, and there will be gusty storms at times.
