Hot, humid conditions remain through the weekend in Chicago
CHICAGO (CBS) — A storm complex near Minnesota will collapse overnight Saturday into Sunday as it drifts toward the Chicago area. High clouds may move in from the decaying system.
High pressure will keep Sunday dry with hot and humid conditions in place.
A front will stall along the Wisconsin state line on Sunday night, bringing storm chances to the Chicago area from Sunday night through Tuesday morning. The chance of rain will be highest in the northern counties closest to the front. There will be many dry hours in between the small disturbances that ride the boundary.
Once the front drops south of the area on Tuesday, the chance of morning showers tapers off, and a gusty northeast wind develops. This will create high wave action on Tuesday with dangerous swimming conditions.
A cooler and less humid air mass will settle in midweek.
