Honor Flight Chicago trip canceled due to severe weather
CHICAGO (CBS) -- Honor Flight Chicago will have to wait a little longer to take its 10,000th veteran to Washington D.C.
On Wednesday morning, the special patriotic plane from Southwest Airlines was at the gate ready to go.
The veterans who served during World War II, the Korean War, and the Vietnam War boarded the plane and gave a salute.
But the weather kept the plane on the ground.
The delay was so long - the trip was canceled.
The flight will be rescheduled.
