Highs in the 70s on Wednesday in Chicago

CHICAGO (CBS) — Sunny skies continue for the Chicago area with above-normal temperatures. 

Hurricane Milton is forecast to make landfall along the Florida coast later Wednesday night as a major hurricane. 

In Chicago, highs will be in the 70s through Thursday, with a windy warm-up by Friday. By the end of the week, highs will reach the 80s, 15 degrees above the norm. 

A windy cool down arrives for the weekend which will make it feel more like fall.  

Saturday and Sunday in the 60s with gusty winds for Chicago marathon runners. 

The weather turns cooler on Monday with highs in the 50s.
