Highs climb to the 60s in Chicago with overnight lows in the 40s

CHICAGO (CBS) — Following a widespread freeze Thursday morning outside of Chicago, a warming trend returns and takes us through the weekend.

South winds fuel a big warm-up through the weekend, eventually returning highs to the 70s starting Saturday. While overnight low temperatures will still be brisk Friday morning, we are not concerned with freezing temperatures.

This period of overall warmer than normal weather and mainly dry conditions lasts through much of next week.
