Heavy Traffic Expected During Busy Summer Weekend in Chicago
(CBS) -- Another exciting and fun Chicago summer weekend is upon us, and the city is hopping with outdoor events the whole family can enjoy.
No matter where you go, remember to throw a tube of sunscreen into your bag, as well as your CTA card. Chicago traffic is expected to be heavy, particularly around the West Loop, Wrigleyville, Lincoln Park and Lakeview.

The Chicago Gospel Music Festival

The Chicago Gospel Music Festival is a showcase of the nation's biggest names in gospel and a celebration of the city's historical connection with the genre. The fest boasts two stages, kid-friendly activities, food and more.
Old St. Pat's World's Largest Block Party
Dates: June 27 – June 29
Cost: $40-$45
Location: 700 W. Adams Street
Old St. Pat's World's Largest Block party is a weekend-long event in Chicago now in its 30th year. Old St. Pat's Church, a revered historical landmark, is the host of the festivities, and proceeds from the weekend go to support the church's many community programs.
45th Annual Chicago Pride Parade
Date: June 29
Cost: Free
Location: Begins at Montrose and Broadway; ends at Diversey and Sheridan.
This Chicago Pride Parade, a staple in the community for over four decades, is expected to draw a crowd of 1 million people. It will feature floats, decorated vehicles and musical performances.
