Clearing after heavy rain from Hurricane Beryl pounds Chicago area
CHICAGO (CBS) — Hazardous beach conditions continue Wednesday behind the remnants of Hurricane Beryl.
Gusty northwest winds produce high waves and dangerous rip currents along the Indiana shoreline. Winds relax this evening as additional showers and thunderstorms develop, mainly southwest of Chicago.
Daily rounds of scattered showers and storms continue into the weekend, but there will be many dry hours for outdoor plans.
Heat and humidity build with feels-like temperatures potentially reaching or exceeding 100 degrees on Sunday afternoon.
Be sure to drink plenty of water, take breaks in the shade, and avoid overexerting yourself during dangerous heat.
