Hampton Bench Channels 'Major League' In First Four Win Over Manhattan
By Ryan Mayer--
(CBS Local) The NCAA Tournament got underway Tuesday night with the first two First Four matchups. Hampton earned the right to play Kentucky on Thursday night with a 74-64 win, and the bench got a little superstitious down the stretch.
When junior guard Brian Darden stepped to the line late in the game with the Pirates leading 70-64, the Hampton bench decided to replicate the movie Major League. Take a look:

If you don't remember the scene from the movie, go ahead and head to the 2:06 mark of this video.

Final judgement: It's a pretty good replication by the Pirates bench except for the one guy second from the left who didn't get his leg up in time at the start. Oh well. Just shows another one of the best parts of the NCAA tournament: the bench interactions. Whether it's holding each other back when a posterizing dunk happens, or the air guitar strumming after a big three, keep an eye on those bench guys. They're fun to watch.
