Freight Train Derails In Blue Island, No Injuries

(CBS) -- A freight train has derailed in south suburban Blue Island.

The incident occurred at 135th and Chatham Tuesday afternoon. Authorities did not have immediate details, but resident Paul Booth posted pictures on social media that showed some freight cars off the tracks. At least one car was on its side.

No Metra commuter trains are affected. There were no reports of injuries.

A spokesperson for CSX railroad says no hazardous materials were aboard the derailed cars.
