The group was standing on the sidewalk in the 7900 block of South Merrill about 2 a.m. when three males walked up and fired shots, police said.

A 30-year-old man suffered gunshot wounds to the arm and toe and was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, police said.

Three of the victims later showed up at South Shore Hospital, police said. A 15-year-old boy suffered a graze wound to the leg and was listed in good condition. A 20-year-old man was shot in the side, and his condition was stable. A 27-year-old was shot in the hand, but refused medical attention.
