Torrential Downpours Causing Flooding Around Chicagoland Area
CHICAGO (CBS) -- The National Weather Service has issued flood warnings for several counties around Illinois.
More than 300 flights were cancelled at O'Hare airport and other flights were delayed. Midway reports 15 flights were cancelled due to inclement weather.
Flood warnings are in effect in Cook and DuPage Counties until 9:30 p.m.

Grundy and Will Counties have a flood warning in effect until 9:45 p.m.

Jeffrey Lawnicki of Elgin tweeted a picture of a flooded neighborhood in Elgin, Illinois.
Flooded subdivisions, neighborhoods, and roads were reported across the Chicagoland area after fast moving storms blew through the area.
Storm drains were overwhelmed in Schaumburg, where heavy rains also wreaked havoc during the evening rush hour.
Tow trucks were spotted hauling several cars.

The National Weather Service is warning of the possibility of some tornado activity.
