Cloudy weekend with chances of stray showers for Chicago

CHICAGO (CBS) — Clouds from a weak system west of the Chicago area may linger on Sunday. There will be a blocking ridge of high pressure overhead this weekend, so the disturbance won't make much progress moving into the area. At most, there could be extra clouds and a few sprinkles on Sunday and Monday.

Temperatures will be a few degrees cooler along the immediate shoreline. Wind flow is light, so the lake breeze is not likely to move inland very far.

More organized shower and thunderstorm activity is likely by midweek as a front crosses northern Illinois.
