Fire Rages At Auburn Gresham Beauty Supply Store Following Looting

CHICAGO (CBS) -- A large fire broke out late Sunday afternoon at a beauty supply store in Auburn Gresham.

The fire broke out at the Sadoni Beauty Supply store at 79th Street and Damen Avenue and was raging at 5:42 p.m.

The fire spread to an adjacent MetroPCS cellphone store and a Citibank.

The fire followed looting amid continuing unrest in Chicago following the death of George Floyd in police custody in Minneapolis.

A fire also broke out at 47th Street and Prairie Avenue in Bronzeville. That fire was quickly extinguished.
