Firefighters, Civilian Hurt In Fire Engine Crash In West Englewood

CHICAGO (CBS) -- At least three firefighters and one civilian were injured Thursday morning, when a fire engine crashed near a firehouse in West Englewood.

Fire Department spokesman Larry Langford said the crash happened around 10:40 a.m. at 60th Street and Ashland Avenue, near the Engine 116 station.

Three firefighters were taken to Little Company of Mary Hospital in Evergreen Park, and the civilian was taken to St. Bernard Hospital. All were in good condition.

Langford said it was possible two other firefighters might need to go to the hospital.

It was not immediately clear what caused the crash.
