CDPH names Fikirte Wagaw as acting commissioner

CHICAGO (CBS) -- The Chicago Department of Public Health is introducing its new interim leader.

Fikirte Wagaw will now serve as acting commissioner.

The announcement comes nearly two weeks after Mayor Brandon Johnson fired Dr. Allison Arwady.

Wagaw has over 20 years of experience in public health.
