Feds: Chicago Woman Targeted By State Department Employee In Cyberstalking Case
CHICAGO (CBS) -- An Illinois woman was allegedly targeted by a U.S. State Department employee accused of cyber-stalking young women.
Federal prosecutors in Georgia said Michael C. Ford, of Atlanta, used his computer at the U.S. Embassy in London to access email accounts of young women to access sexually explicit photos, and threatened to post the images online, unless the victims complied with his demands.
In one case, he demanded a Kentucky woman record video of other women undressing at the gym, the pool, or in clothing stores.
Two months ago, Ford allegedly targeted a 22-year-old woman described as "the daughter of a well-known executive of a large, multinational company headquartered in Chicago."
Ford has been charged with cyberstalking, computer fraud, wire fraud, and interstate threats.
