Fatal crash shuts down outbound lanes on Bishop Ford Freeway

CHICAGO (CBS) — A deadly crash shut down lanes on the outbound Bishop Ford Freeway early Wednesday morning. 

Illinois State Police said a car rear-ended a tow truck near Dolton Road around 2 a.m. 

The person inside the car was ejected and did not survive, according to police. 

All southbound lanes were closed, and traffic was being diverted at 130th Street as crews worked to clear the scene. All lanes have since reopened around 7:42 a.m. 

No further information was available.
