CHICAGO (CBS)-- A highway crash involving a semi-truck carrying hazardous material is causing delays in Elgin.
WB RT20 has reopened. 5:33 a.m. ***** Traffic Alert - westbound RT20 is closed west of Shales Pkwy due to a traffic crash that necessitates a cleanup of hazardous material. Avoid WB RT20.

According to Elgin police, westbound Route 20 was closed west of Shales Parkway around 3:30 a.m. after the crash.
Police said the crash "necessitates a cleanup of hazardous material."
The westbound lanes reopened by around 5:30 a.m.
