1 Dead, 7 Injured When Cars Hit Logan Square Building

CHICAGO (CBS) -- Eight people were taken to hospitals early Monday, after two vehicles crashed into a building in the Logan Square neighborhood. One of those victims later died.

The Chicago Fire Department responded shortly after 5:30 a.m., after two cars struck a building at the corner of Fullerton and Kimball Avenues.

Eight people were taken to local hospitals; including Northwestern Memorial Hospital, Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center, John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County, and Mount Sinai Hospital. All of the victims were in serious to critical condition, according to the Fire Department.

One of those people, a 27-year-old man, later died of his injuries, police said.
