Driver In Custody After Crashing During Police Chase
ADDISON, Ill. (CBS) -- A driver was arrested overnight, after twice fleeing from police officers who attempted a traffic stop, and crashing into another vehicle in west suburban Addison.
Police said officers tried to make a traffic stop around 11:50 p.m. at Lake Street and Neva Avenue, but the driver fled the scene.
When police tracked him down near Lake Street and Third Avenue, the driver sped off again, then crashed into another car near the Centennial Plaza Shopping Center at Lake Street and Marcus Drive.
The driver tried to run away, but was arrested after a short chase.
Police said there were no serious injuries in the crash.
