Dolphins-Jets, Jags-Bills, Chiefs-Lions To Play In London In 2015
(CBS) Six teams, including three first-timers, will play in London next season at Wembley Stadium, the NFL announced Thursday.
The Dolphins and Jets will play on Oct. 4, 2015, in Week 4. The Jaguars and Bills will play on Oct. 25 in Week 7. And the Chiefs and Lions will play on Nov. 1 in Week 8.
The Dolphins, Jagaurs and Chiefs will be considered the home teams.
The 2015 matchups feature new faces (the Jets, Bills and Chiefs), the first division matchup (Dolphins-Jets), and games in back-to-back weeks for the first time.
"We are very appreciative of the outstanding support from our fans in the UK, not only for the games at Wembley, but for all of the related NFL events we have hosted throughout the city," NFL executive vice president of international Mark Waller told NFLUK.com. "We believe we have a great 2015 schedule that will continue to attract new fans to our sport and strengthen the bonds with our existing fans. To provide UK fans the opportunity to see games on consecutive weekends, to see new teams, and to attend a division game, which feature some of the most passionate rivalries in our sport, are signs of the growth and depth of our UK fan base."
After next season, 20 NFL teams will have taken part in the International Series.
