Dog Owner Says Pup Stolen From West Loop Condo

CHICAGO (CBS) -- A dog owner is pleading for the safe return of his prized pup.

Adam Johnston says he came home to his West Loop condo Monday and knew something was wrong when his west highland terrier "Barnaby" didn't greet him.

He searched the home and found no signs of the dog, and noticed the door had been pried open.

Surveillance video shows the dog walker returning Barnaby. A short time later another man is seen carrying the dog out of the parking garage.

Johnston just wants his best friend back.

"I look forward every day to coming home and seeing him," Johnston said.

Based on conversations with police, he says he's hopeful Barnaby will be found.
