Derrick Rose Questionable Against Knicks With Illness
(CBS) The star power may be missing from tonight's Bulls-Knicks game at the United Center.
Chicago point guard Derrick Rose is questionable to play as he deals with an illness, coach Tom Thibodeau told reporters at Thursday morning's shootaround. Rose didn't participate in the shootaround.
New York forward Carmelo Anthony -- who Chicago pursued heavily when he was a free agent last offseason and who figures to draw the ire of the red-clad fans Thursday night -- is also questionable as he deals with knee soreness, Knicks coach Derek Fisher told reporters.
Rose has missed eight games this season in dealing with ankle and hamstring injuries. He's averaging 16.8 points and 5.1 assists. Anthony has missed three games this season. He's averaging 23.4 points and 6.6 rebounds.
Bulls forward Taj Gibson is also questionable still as he deals with ankle soreness. Center Joakim Noah is expected to return after missing the past four games with a right ankle sprain.
