Truck Driver Shot On Dan Ryan Expressway

CHICAGO (CBS) -- A truck driver was shot overnight on the Dan Ryan Expressway.
A 68-year-old truck driver was headed north on the Dan Ryan between 95th Street and 87th Street when he was shot through the driver's side window shortly before midnight. A bullet struck him in the face.
The driver was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn in critical condition.
Illinois State Police shut down the inbound Ryan near the scene of the shooting for several hours as troopers searched for evidence, but lanes reopened in time for the morning rush.
No one was in custody early Friday.
It was the 20th shooting on Chicago expressways this year, and the third in the past week.
