Cubs Fans In Cleveland Not Deterred By Game 1 Loss, Rainy Weather

CLEVELAND (CBS) -- Russ Evans traveled a long way for this day.

A Cubs season-ticket holder from Pekin, Illinois, he sold his Wrigley seats but wasn't going to miss the World Series entirely, CBS 2's Dana Kozlov reports.

"I got one ... for a win," he says.

Evans isn't deterred by the rain in the forecast for Game 2 on Wednesday night or the Game 1 loss, which threatened to dampen enthusiasm but didn't.

"Not at all ... unbelievable," Chicago resident Slex Dudley said.

"I can not believe it," Northwest Indiana resident Joe Valois said. "Get here for it."

The same goes for Debbie Jenkins and her daughter, an Illinois State student. They drove all night. This Cubs World Series is their final destination, rain or shine.

"It's heaven," Jenkins said.
