Cops: Man Killed In South Shore Shooting

CHICAGO (CBS) -- A 30-year-old man was shot to death late Friday in the South Shore neighborhood, according to Chicago Police.

Officers responding to a call of a person shot just before midnight found him near 78th Street and South Shore Drive with a gunshot wound to the head, police said.

He was taken to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where he died, police said. The shooting was thought to be gang-related.

The Cook County medical examiner's office did not immediately have information on the death.
