Cooler day Tuesday, rain on the way for the Chicago area

CHICAGO (CBS) — Cool November weather has settled into the area following our recent cold front. 

Skies clear early this evening, but will cloud up by Wednesday morning as our next storm system quickly approaches.

Wednesday will bring breezy southeast winds and mostly cloudy skies. Rain holds off until the evening, but fills in quickly after 6 p.m. Rain will be likely Wednesday night into early Thursday morning, when many areas will total 0.50" to 0.75" in their backyards.

Unseasonably warm, dry conditions blow back into the area as a ridge of high pressure builds late this week into the coming weekend. The Bears game at Soldier Field on Sunday brings a slight chance of rain with highs near 60. Colder, wetter weather is expected later next week.
