Comp-U-Dopt Offers Free Laptops To Students In Need

CHICAGO (CBS) -- With some degree of online learning sticking around for a while, a Chicago non-profit wants to make sure technology is not an obstacle.

Today, 83 families picked up donated laptops, courtest of Comp-u-Dopt. The goal is to help bridge the digital divide for students, and the COVID-19 pandemic has only made the challenge greater. The devices are given out by lottery as they are refurbished and made available.
