City Holds Taste Of Chicago Preview In Daley Plaza
CHICAGO (CBS) -- There were some long lines Wednesday during lunch on the Daley Plaza as the city presented a Taste of the Taste of Chicago.
People sampled things like alligator sausage, ribs, pizza and pulled pork sandwiches.
The vendors said the visibility is a great thing for business. The people doing the sampling were mixed about whether they'd rather attend the taste of the Taste or the real thing.
Humana, the sponsor, worked with about 30 restaurants on healthier options and one restaurant owner said he was selling more of his healthier pulled chicken than normal because of the Humana effort.
A Humana rep told us, of course people want to indulge at the Taste, but said they just want people to know that there are healthy options, as well.
The Taste of Chicago will take place July 9-13 in Grant Park.
