Cinco De Mayo Festivities Canceled In Chicago's Little Village Neighborhood
CHICAGO (CBS)--The annual Cinco De Mayo parade and other festivities in Chicago's Little Village neighborhood have been canceled for the second year in a row.
A parade and festival were planned to kick off this weekend near the Cermak Road Chamber of Commerce.
Instead, organizers say the festivities are being called off due to a conflict of interest related to 12th Ward Alderman George Cardenas and another organization.
The same scenario resulted in the cancellation of last year's festival.
