Chris Sale Finishes 4th In AL Cy Young Voting
(CBS) White Sox left-hander Chris Sale finished fourth in the AL Cy Young voting, he Baseball Writers' Association of America announced Wednesday evening.
Sale was 13-11 with a 3.41 ERA and 1.09 WHIP. He had a White Sox franchise record 274 strikeouts, which was tops in the AL and third in all of baseball. Sale has now finished in the top six of the AL Cy Young voting in each of the past four seasons. His highest finish was third place in 2014.
Astros left-hander Dallas Keuchel won the award. Sale finished with 30 points. Keuchel tallied 186 points.
