September 29th is National Coffee Day! What better way to kick-start your week than with a piping hot cup of joe? Intelligentsia Coffee on N. Broadway has been supplying Chicagoans with premium coffee since 1995. This coffee shop offers over 50 different kinds of coffee in store. Once you find your favorite, you can purchase your own supply to make at home in 12 oz. or five pound increments. If you'd rather sip your java in the shop, seating is plentiful. Intelligentsia even has a newly added "back bar" that has doubled the already spacious seating area. The Broadway Intelligentsia Coffee location is open from 6:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Mondays.

Smile With Lily Allen

Lily Allen is coming to the Riviera Theatre this Tuesday. The Hammersmith, London native will hit the stage at 7:30 p.m. Allen burst onto the U.K. music scene in 2006 with her first single, "Smile." "Smile" climbed all the way to number one on the UK Singles Chart while her debut album, "Alright, Still," sold over 2.6 million copies worldwide. Other hits from Allen include, "Hard Out Here," "Alfie" and "The Fear" which reached number 80 on the Billboard Hot 100 Chart. General admission tickets are available online for $37.

Learn About Greek Ghouls And Ancient Mythology

Date: Wednesday, October 1

The National Hellenic Museum on S. Halsted St. recently opened their newest exhibit, "The Greek Monsters." "The Greek Monsters" is comprised of sculptures, paintings, audio-visual displays, figurines and stencil graffiti illustrating ancient beasts from Greek mythology. This exhibit isn't just a horror show however, there are also over 11,000 artifacts dating all the way back to the days of the Acropolis. The exhibit and museum are open from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Admission is $10 for adults, $8 for seniors and full-time students with valid ID, $7 for children between three and twelve and free for museums members or children under three.

Meditate With The Diamondway Buddhist Group

Unwind after a long week of work with the Diamondway Buddhist Group as they host their free weekly meditation service. Every session begins with a 20-minute introduction to Buddhism and how to apply its basic principles to everyday life. Following the introductory session you will be taken on an hour-and-ten-minute guided meditation designed to put your mind and body at ease. The session is located at 832 Parkside Lane in Yorkville, Illinois and lasts from 7:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. No experience is necessary and no fee is required.
