Aaron "Shwayze" Smith and Cisco Adler of the hip hop group Shwayze are coming to Reggies Rock Club this Tuesday. Smith and Adler met while Adler was on stage performing with his former band Whitestarr. Smith jumped up on stage unannounced and started free-style rapping right in the middle of the show. Adler was so impressed by the young rapper's boldness he took him under his wing and the group Shwayze was born. The duo's first pair of singles "Buzzin" and "Corona and Lime" came out in 2008 and reached numbers 46 and 23 on the Billboard Hot 100 Chart respectively. The show starts at 8:30 p.m. and tickets cost $15.

Witness The Tragedy Of King Lear

The iconic play, King Lear, is being performed at the Chicago Shakespeare Theatre on Thursday at 7:30 p.m. King Lear is a tragic play written by William Shakespeare and hailed by many as the as greatest tragedy ever written. The play tells the story of King Lear of Britain who has decided to step down from power and divide his kingdom into three shares for his three daughters. As the story unfolds on stage King Lear and his family spiral down a long and tumultuous road that examines human suffering and lust for power. The show runs two hours and 35 minutes and tickets cost $58.

Slugger's World Class Sports Bar on N. Clark Street isn't your run-of-the-mill piano bar, it's more like a piano party. Come to Slugger's this Friday for dueling pianos at 10:00 p.m. on the bar's second level. Slugger's dueling pianists play rock n' roll, top 40, college fight songs and almost anything else you can think of. The Theatre School at DePaul University is putting on a performance of The Phantom Tollbooth this Saturday at 2:00 p.m inside the Merle Reskin Theatre. The show is recommended for ages seven and up and tickets cost $10 each. The Phantom Tollbooth tells the story of Milo who is transported to the Kingdom of Wisdom by a magic tollbooth while sitting bored and alone in his room. Once in the Kingdom of Wisdom, Milo discovers the power of words and numbers and must use them to save Princess Rhyme and Princess Reason from castle in the air. The show is filled with puns and literary lessons to keep all members of the audience entertained.
