2 killed, 30 hurt in Chicago weekend shootings, police say

CHICAGO (CBS) — At least two people were killed, and 30 others were hurt in shootings across Chicago over the weekend, according to police.

The ages of the victims range from 16 to 67.

The following shootings occurred between 5 p.m. Friday and 5 a.m. Monday.

Friday

In the first shooting on the weekend, a man, 27, was driving in the 6000 block of South Lasalle Street around 10:15 p.m. when he saw a group of males standing on the street, one of which fired shots at the victim. The victim was struck in the neck and self-transported to St. Benard Hospital in good condition.
At 11:13 p.m., another man, 27, was a passenger inside a vehicle in the 4700 block of West Lake Street when someone from a blue sedan fired shots in the area. The victim was struck in the chest and was taken to Stroger Hospital in critical condition but died a short time later.

Saturday

At 12:19 a.m. in the 4400 block of North Kedzie Avenue, a man, 30, was standing in an alley when he was shot at by another male who then fled the scene on foot. The victim was struck in the abdomen and was taken to Illinois Masonic Hospital, where he was listed in fair condition.
At 12:27 a.m. in the 5200 block of North Winthrop Avenue, a man and a woman were standing on the street celebrating when shots were fired in the area by unknown offenders, and both victims were struck by gunfire. The man, 44, suffered three gunshot wounds to the left leg and self-transported to Swedish Hospital in good condition. The woman, 38, suffered a gunshot wound to the lower back and was also taken to Swedish in good condition.
At 12:34 a.m. in the 3800 block of West North Avenue, a woman, 21, was driving in a vehicle when someone fired shots in the area, and the victim suffered a graze wound to the right side of the head. The victim was taken to Mt Sinai Hospital in good condition
At 1:39 a.m. in the 0-100 block of East Wacker Drive, two men were standing on the sidewalk at different locations when someone unknown fired shots in the area. A man, 24, was shot in the rear and was taken to Northwestern Hospital in good condition. The second man, 67, was shot in the right thigh and was taken to Northwestern in good condition.
At 11:40 a.m. in the 0-100 block of West 111th Street, a boy, 16, was standing outside when a blue SUV pulled up and began shooting. The victim was struck twice in the lower body and was taken to Christ Hospital in fair condition.
At 12:21 p.m. in the 5700 block of South Aberdeen Street, a man, 22, was walking when an unknown man behind him began shooting. The victim was taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center in good condition with two gunshots to the lower body.
At 5:25 p.m. in the 4200 block of West Monroe, a 54-year-old man was standing in the alley when he was shot in the right calf. He was transported to Mount Sinai Hospital in good condition.
At 9:02 p.m. in the 5800 block of South Aberdeen, a 25-year-old woman was standing outside when she was shot in the buttocks. She was taken to St. Bernard Hospital, where she was listed in good condition. Officers arrested a male suspect, and a weapon was recovered.
At 9:10 p.m. in the 3500 block of West Lyndale, a 38-year-old man was a passenger in a vehicle when he was shot at by someone in a black pickup truck. The victim was struck in the hand and was transported to St. Mary's Hospital, where he was listed in good condition.
At 9:02 p.m. in the 5800 block of South Aberdeen, a 25-year-old woman was standing outside when she was shot in the rear. The woman was taken to St. Bernard Hospital in good condition. Officers responded to the scene and were able to locate and arrest a male offender. A weapon was recovered.

Sunday

At 12:18 a.m. in the 700 block of South Campbell, a 47-year-old man was standing outside when he was shot at by an unknown person who was traveling in a vehicle. The victim was shot in the neck and was taken to Mt. Sinai in critical condition.
At 12:30 a.m. in the 2800 block of South Pulaski Road, a 19-year-old man was entering a gas station when he was approached by an unknown male with a handgun who then shot at him and fled the scene. The victim was shot in the right shoulder and was taken to Mt Sinai in good condition.
At 2:04 a.m. in the 1000 block of West Belmont, a 25-year-old woman was a passenger in a vehicle when she heard shots, felt pain, and realized she had a gunshot graze wound to the forehead. She was treated by the CFD and taken to Illinois Masonic Hospital in good condition. A witness related that the gunshots may have been fired from a dark-colored vehicle. A second victim, a 22-year-old man, showed up at Illinois Masonic with a gunshot wound to the back. He's listed in good condition.
At 2:08 a.m. in the 3500 block of West 12th Place, a 19-year-old man was standing on the sidewalk when someone unknown fired shots in the area and the victim was struck. The victim sustained multiple gunshot wounds to the abdomen and right leg and was transported to Mt Sinai Hospital in critical condition.
At 3:45 a.m. in the 2500 block of North Newcastle, a 21-year-old man was standing outside when he was shot at by an unknown person who was traveling in a vehicle. The victim was shot in the leg and was taken to Community First Hospital in good condition.
At 3:46 a.m. in the 2200 block of South Sacramento, a 24-year-old man was in his vehicle when he was approached by an unknown male, and an argument ensued. That argument turned into a fight when the offender produced a handgun and fired shots at the victim before fleeing. The victim was shot in the elbow and refused medical treatment.
At 11:23 a.m. in the 3100 block of West Luis Munoz Marin Drive, a group of individuals were involved in a fight when shots were fired. A 47-year-old man was struck in his back and was taken to Mt. Sinai, where he died. Two other men, 42 and 35, suffered stabbed wounds to the face. They were taken to Stroger, where their conditions were stabilized.
At 2:34 p.m. in the 1300 block of South Homan Avenue, a 37-year-old man was involved in a fight with an unknown male when that male got out a gun and shot the victim multiple times. The victim was struck in his buttocks and right thigh. The shooter fled on foot. The victim was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in good condition.
At 4:25 p.m. in the 2800 block of South Pulaski, a 29-year-old man was in the parking lot of a gas station when an unknown vehicle pulled up and someone inside shot the victim in the left leg. The victim was transported to Mount Sinai Hospital in critical condition.
At 5:40 p.m. in the 6200 block of South King Drive, a male victim was on the sidewalk when an unknown vehicle approached, and someone inside shot the victim in the shoulder. The victim was taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center in critical condition.
At 7:01 p.m. in the 2300 block of West Eastwood Avenue, a 16-year-old boy was standing near the sidewalk when he was shot in the arm by an unknown person. He self-transported to Stroger Hospital, where he was initially reported in good condition.
At 10:20 p.m. in the 6800 block of South Hermitage, a 29-year-old man was in a fight with an unknown person who then shot at him, striking him in the pinky. The victim was treated by the Chicago Fire Department on the scene but refused any further medical attention and was "very uncooperative" with police. He then left the scene.

Unless otherwise noted, no arrests were made in any of these shootings.
