Heat index values on Monday will range from 100 to 105 degrees. On Tuesday, 105 to 115-degree feel-like temperatures are expected. Make sure to plan ahead, especially since it will be the start of the new school year for many. Find ways to beat the heat by staying cool and hydrated.

The rest of the weekend will still be hot and muggy. On Saturday night, temperatures will drop into the lower 70s with a mostly cloudy sky, but due to a disturbance, a few rain showers and storms may appear overnight into Sunday morning. By Sunday afternoon, drier conditions will move in, with highs in the lower 90s and feeling like the middle 90s at times during the afternoon.  Due to this steamy weather setup, air quality alerts have been issued from midnight tonight until Sunday night.
