Chicago Priest Cleared After Child Abuse Investigation

Chicago (CBS) -- A Chicago priest who had been the subject of a child sex abuse investigation has now been cleared.

In August 2018, Father Gary Graf was asked to step aside from his pastoral duties until an investigation was complete.

Cardinal Blase Cupich wrote a letter to parishioners of San Jose Luis Sanchez del Rio saying, "the allegation of child abuse was unfounded and ... I am reinstating Father Graf as your pastor effective immediately."
