Group of men wanted in string of burglaries on Chicago's North and Northwest sides

CHICAGO (CBS) — Chicago police are warning businesses on the North and Northwest sides of recent burglaries in the area. 

Police say four men who wear dark face masks and gloves are wanted for breaking into and stealing from at least three businesses in Portage Park and North Park. 

In one video, the group can be seen pulling up in a gray SUV and wearing masks. Police say they then broke the store's glass window to get inside. Once inside the thieves target cash registers, safes, and the office areas of the businesses before fleeing. 

The incidents happened at the following times and locations: 

  • 3300 block of West Bryn Mawr Ave., on September 9, 2024, at 1:34 a.m.
  • 6300 block of West Irving Park Rd., on September 9, 2024, at 2:22 a.m.
  • 6300 block of West Irving Park Rd., on September 9, 2024, at 2:25 a.m.
