What inspired you to enter this field?
"I was always a technology enthusiast and a software-minded individual. I was intrigued at an early age with how software and hardware operated. That passion has only strengthened over time and today we maintain a dedication at both UrbanBound and Hireology to ensuring that our users are at the core of our design processes with each solution we design and develop. To me, there is nothing more rewarding than knowing that the products we are building are delighting our customers and solving real problems for them."
How has your education helped with your career?
"I love to envision ways technology can be leveraged to make life better. I was able to really leverage this passion while a student at the University of Michigan. Although I didn't formally study computer science (my degree is in business), I started my first company as a freshman with two friends who were in the engineering school. We started building websites for companies that had no online presence (this was the mid-90s), and I was hooked from that moment on."
What advice can you give others looking to go into this field?
"Follow your passion, for true happiness can only be had when doing what you love. Look for jobs and companies tackling interesting challenges and get them to hire you by expressing the passion and knowledge you've acquired."
