Carmelo On If He's Thought About Future With Bulls: 'Not At All'
(CBS) As the Bulls sit at .500 and struggle offensively, the idea of luring Knicks star Carmelo Anthony to Chicago this offseason -- he can opt out of his contract -- becomes more appealing every day. After all, Anthony just hung a Madison Square Garden-record 62 points on the Bobcats last Friday night, and the Bulls only scored 86 points Monday in a loss to a Timberwolves team not known for its defense.
But don't get too far ahead of yourselves. Asked by the Chicago Sun-Times if he's given any thought to the draw of Chicago and how its fans follow him, Anthony said, "Not at all, not at all."
Anthony also added he doesn't have a relationship with Bulls coach Tom Thibodeau, according to the report.
So it sounds like there's a lot of recruiting to do if there's any hope of luring Anthony to the Windy City.
